Haverford Police Blotter: Forgery, Bomb Threat, Drugs
Two men were charged with forgery, theft by unlawful taking and related crimes after allegedly trying to fraudulent checks at a TD Bank.

INCIDENTS:
- Theft at the 500 block of West Chester Pike on Feb. 27 at 4:46 p.m. – Spare tire was stolen from the rear spare tire rack on a Jeep.
- Theft at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on Feb. 27 at 4:17 p.m. – Mink coat valued at $2,000 was stolen from an apartment.
- Forgery at TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road, on Feb. 28 at 4:50 p.m. – Police were dispatched to the above location for a theft in progress. Two black males were attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Two black males, 19 and 21, were arrested.
- Retail Theft at CVS, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on March 1 at 3:38 p.m. - A black female stole an unknown amount of merchandise.
- Identity Theft at the 2200 block of Avon Road on March 1 at 4:14 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person used her identity and opened a Sprint account and purchased over $3,000 in cell phones.
- Vandalism at the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on March 1 at 11:49 a.m. – Vehicle tires were slashed.
- Fraud at the 1500 block of Ashton Road on March 2 at 10:19 a.m. – Victim reported that he was the victim of a scam. He received an email from someone claiming to be his priest requesting gift cards for cancer patients.
- Identity Theft at the 500 block of Central Avenue on March 3 at 2:29 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a Sprint account using her identity.
- Criminal Mischief at the 800 block of Aubrey Avenue on March 3 at 8:06 a.m. – Vehicle windshield was shattered.
- Forgery at TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road, on March 4 at 10:06 a.m. – An employee reported that a black male was attempting to cash a fraudulent check and withdraw money.
- Weapons at the 1000 block of Larchmont Avenue on March 4 at 10:23 a.m. – Police responded to the above location for a report of an unwanted subject. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the subject. He was uncooperative and ignored officer commands. Black male, 37, was taken into custody.
- Theft at the Skatium, 1000 block of Darby Road, on March 5 at 4:06 p.m. – A North Face women’s jacket was stolen from a common area of the locker room.
- Bomb Threat at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on March 5 at 8:54 p.m.
ARRESTS:
- White male, 18, unit block of Llandaff Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: Feb. 27 at 8:25 a.m.
- White male, 24, unit block of Millbourne Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: Possession of marijuana and expired inspection. Location: 500 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 27 at 8:26 a.m.
- Black male, 21, 200 block of Sherbrook Boulevard, Upper Darby. Charges: Forgery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and bad checks. Location: TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road. Date: Feb. 28 at 4:50 p.m.
- Black male, 19, 2500 block of S. Berbro Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and bad checks. Location: TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road. Date: Feb. 28 at 4:50 p.m.
- Black male, 44, 6100 block of Lebanon Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Restrictions on alcoholic beverages, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 5 at 8:54 p.m.
- Black female, 39, 5100 block of Lebanon Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Restrictions on alcoholic beverages, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 5 at 8:43 p.m.
