HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday, and the details are all featured below.
Police handled numerous thefts, with eight occurring on April 23 alone, in addition to attempted burglary, fraud, disorderly conduct, and more.
The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued in the last week.

- Attempted Burglary at Eagle Court Apartments, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on April 17 at 4:15 p.m. – Victim reported that a black male attempted to gain access into his apartment with a crowbar. The suspect fled when the victim screamed.
- Attempted Burglary at Eagle Court Apartments, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on April 17 at 5 p.m. – Pry marks were discovered on the victim’s door. It does not appear that entry was gained.
- Fraud at the 1300 block of Annabella Avenue on April 17 at 4:20 p.m. – Victim received an email from a woman claiming to work for 5 Hour Energy. She advised the victim that she would send her a check for $2,750 if she would wrap her personal vehicle with a 5 Hour Energy advertisement decal. Once the check was deposited she was instructed to pay $3,200 and keep the remaining $450. The victim recognized the scam when the check bounced.
- Theft at Haverford College, 300 block of Lancaster Avenue, on April 18 at 6:25 p.m. – Cell phone was stolen from the locker room.
- Attempted Theft at the 400 block of Colfax Road on April 19 at 4:32 a.m. – Victim observed a male with a hooded sweatshirt and flashlight inside of his vehicle. The suspect fled when the victim knocked on his bedroom window.
- Disorderly Conduct at West Chester Pike and Vernon Road on April 19 at 8:54 a.m. – White female, 48, unit block of Vernon Road was cited with disorderly conduct.
- Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on April 20 at 7:18 p.m. – Unattended phone was stolen from the shoe department.
- Theft at the 2700 block of County Line Road on April 22 at 12:20 p.m. – Victim reported $5,000, unspecified amount of illegal drugs, and several cell phone chargers were stolen from an unsecured motorhome.
- Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Davis Road on April 22 at 12:50 a.m. – While on patrol an officer observed two subjects near a parked vehicle. The suspects fled when approached by the officer. Police gave chase and apprehended the suspects. Black male, 21, black male, 19 and black male, 16, were arrested.
- Theft at Brandywine Assisted Living, 700 block of Old Buck Road, on April 23 at 11:12 a.m. – Victim reported a necklace missing from her apartment.
- Theft at the 100 block of Campbell Avenue on April 23 at 4:50 p.m. – iPad was reported stolen from a person known to the victim.
- Theft at the 500 block of Brookline Boulevard on April 23 at 2:20 p.m. – Victim reported that a person known to him fraudulently deposited numerous child support checks.
- Theft at the 500 block of Devon Road on April 23 at 4:15 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, GPS was stolen.
- Theft at the 200 block of Walnut Place on April 23 at 7:23 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change and a wallet containing a driver’s license, debit card and credit cards was stolen.
- Theft at the 400 block of Llanerch Avenue on April 23 at 11:20 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
- Theft at the unit block of Langhorne Avenue on April 23 at 7:04 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, a backpack was stolen.
- Theft at the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue on April 23 at 5:24 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change and parking pass was stolen.
- Fraud at the 600 block of Merion Avenue on April 23 at 9:40 a.m. – Victim reported that an unauthorized purchase was made with the victim’s credit card.
ARRESTS:
- White female, 23, 200 block of E. 9th Street, Bridgeport. Charges: DUI, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, disregard traffic lane and depositing waste on highway. Location: West Chester Pike and Country Club Lane. Date: April 21 at 2:48 a.m.
- Black male, 19, 1800 block of N. 52nd Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Theft from a motor vehicle. Location: 300 block of Davis Road. Date: April 22 at 12:50 a.m.
- Black male, 21, 2000 block of Oakford Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Theft from a motor vehicle and loitering and prowling at night. Location: 300 block of Davis Road. Date: April 22 at 12:50 a.m.
- White male, 16, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of marijuana. Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: April 18 at 8:23 p.m.
- White male, 16, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of marijuana Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: April 18 at 8:23 p.m.
- White male, 17, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Simple assault, harassment, recklessly endangering another person and strangulation. Location: 400 block of Bryan Street. Date: April 23 at 6:12 p.m.
