Haverford Police Blotter: Theft, Fraud, Disorderly Conduct

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The latest Haverford Township Police blotter is out, and we have the details here.

Incidents included in the blotter occurred between May 8 and May 14.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

  • Bicycle Theft at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on May 8 at 10:12 p.m.
  • Theft at the unit block of Llandillo Road on May 8 at 4:59 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – Black male, 62, was arrested.
  • Vandalism at the 600 block of Ashurst Road on May 8 at 8:59 p.m. – Victim reported a hole in his screen door. It appears it was made with a BB gun.
  • Bicycle Theft at Haverford College, unit block of Hannum Drive, on May 9 at 3:51 p.m.
  • Theft at the unit block of Caenarvon Lane on May 9 at 5 p.m. – Jewelry was reported missing from the residence.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Strathmore Road on May 9 at 4:48 p.m. – Unlockedvehicle was entered – Loose change and a wallet containing a credit card was stolen. An unauthorized purchase was made with the credit card.
  • Theft at the 300 block of Bewley Road on May 9 at 12:35 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at 7-Eleven, 100 block of Eagle Road, on May 9 at 7:01 p.m. – Three unknown juveniles stole $45.55 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Disorderly Conduct at the Saint Denis Fair on May 10 at 2049 hours – White female, 14, was cited for disorderly conduct.
  • Fraud at the unit block of Princeton Road on May 11 at 9:51 a.m. – Numerous unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit card.
  • Theft at Haverford College, 300 block of Lancaster Avenue, on May 11 at 12:35 p.m. – Unsecured vehicle was entered – key fob and $100 was stolen.
  • Fraud at the 1600 block of Woodmere Way on May 13 at 3:31 p.m. – Victim received a letter from “Publishers Clearing House” stating that he won $2,500,000. He also received a check for $5,794 to cover insurance and attorney fees. The victim recognized the scam and contacted police.
  • Theft at the unit block of Blakley Road on May 14 at 8:14 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – two laptops and $10 was stolen.
  • Vandalism at Karakung Baseball Field, 1600 block of Karakung Drive, on May 14 at 1:21 p.m. – Graffiti was reported on the porta potty and the utility building.

  • Black male, 62, 1300 block of N. Dover Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Loitering and prowling at night. Location: Tenby and Park Roads. Date: May 8 at 0257 hours
  • Black female, 22, 1000 block of 30th Street, Oakland, CA. Charges: Forgery, access device fraud, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and possessing instrument of crime. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: May 8 at 10 a.m., incident occurred on Feb. 7.
  • Black male, 38, 300 block of Francis Street, Drexel Hill. Charges: Warrant. Location: West Chester Pike and Lawrence Road. Date: May 9 at 4:26 a.m.
  • Black male, 40, 4500 block of N. Uber Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of marijuana. Location: 400 block of E. Township Line Road. Date: May 11 at 11:28 p.m.
  • White male, 16, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of marijuana. Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: May 8 at 12:46 p.m.
