Haverford Police Blotter: Underage Drinking, Fraud, Thefts, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Police released their most recent crime blotter Wednesday, and we have details here.

The blotter covers incidents that occurred in the township between Feb. 13 and Feb. 18.

It also features arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

• Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 13 at 2:35 p.m. – A white male stole two dozen roses.
• Theft at the 800 block of Penn Street on Feb. 13 at 10:49 a.m. – A package was stolen from the victim’s porch after delivery.
• Fraud at the 400 block of Heatherwood Road on Feb. 13 at 3:42 p.m. – Victim reported an unauthorized purchase was made with her credit card.
• Identity Theft at the 2400 block of Merwood Lane on Feb. 13 at 11:15 a.m. – An unknown person opened a credit card account and charged $2,700 to the account using the victim’s identity.
• Theft at the unit block of Llandillo Road on Feb. 14 at 6:43 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered. A Vera Bradley clutch containing $11, driver’s license, credit cards, and gift cards was stolen.
• Theft at the 1200 block of Garfield Avenue on Feb. 14 at 6:31 p.m. – A hand
• painted trash can was stolen.
• Attempted Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 14 at 6:44 p.m. – A white male filled a shopping card with $488.39 worth of energy drinks and attempted to exit the store. The male left the merchandise and fled the store when he was confronted by the employee.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of Pennsylvania Avenue on Feb. 14 at 8:58 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of Pennsylvania Avenue on Feb. 14 at 4:30 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Burglary at the unit block of Blakely Road on Feb. 15 at 4:24 a.m. – Police responded to the above location for the report of an interrupted burglary. It does not appear forced entry was made. $20 was stolen from the victim’s wallet.
• Fraud at the 100 block of Signal Road on Feb. 15 at 11:41 a.m. – Victim paid a fencing company a $1,175 deposit and they failed to complete the work.
• Theft at the 1300 block of West Chester Pike on Feb. 16 at 4:58 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – iPAD was stolen.
• Fraud at the 200 block of Hathaway Lane on Feb. 16 at 10:05 a.m. – Victim reported that three unauthorized purchases were made with her credit card.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 400 block of Llanerch Avenue on Feb. 16 at 1:16 a.m. – Black male, 19, 400 block of Llanerch Avenue was cited for underage drinking.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 200 block of Walnut Hill Lane on Feb. 17 at 8:35 p.m. - Police responded to an underage party. Investigation is ongoing.
• Fraud at K & S Towing, 1300 block of Lawrence Road, on Feb. 18 at 4:22 p.m. - The owner reported multiple unauthorized purchases with two business credit cards.
• Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Lexington Avenue on Feb. 18 at 11:33 a.m. – Vehicle window was shattered.
• Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Clearfield Road on Feb. 18 at 2:36 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.

ARRESTS:

• White male, 55, unit block of Brookline Boulevard, Havertown. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 700 block of Woodland Drive. Date: Feb. 13 at 3:10 p.m.
• White male, 37, 100 block of Gerald Drive, Aston. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and received payment for services and failed to perform service. Location: unit block of Sycamore Road. Date: Feb. 13 at 2:15 p.m.
• Black male, 24, 7500 block of Forrest Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 15 at 8:21 p.m.
• White male, 42, 900 block of Golf Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Charges: DUI. Location: Lancaster Avenue and Penn Street. Date: Feb. 17 at 4:12 a.m.
• White male, 54, 7800 block of Windrim Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail theft, false identification to law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike,. Date: Feb. 18 at 1:01 p.m.
• White female, 39, 800 block of Mason Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: DUI and traffic offenses. Location: West Chester Pike and Eagle Road. Date: Feb. 19 at 11:19 a.m.
