Haverford Police Blotter: Vehicle Break-Ins, Burglary, Theft

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township Police released their latest crime blotter recently.

Police handled numerous incidents, including five vehicle break-in related cases on Oct. 29, burglary at a pain center, thefts, and more.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Retail Theft at Rite Aid (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on Oct. 24 at 3:33 p.m. – A black male stole $164.98 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Attempted Theft at Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road) on Oct. 24 at 12:03 p.m. – Victim reported employee lockers were pried open and bags were rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Fraud at the 600 block of Valley Road on Oct. 24 at 4:14 p.m. – Victim reported $229.26 worth of unauthorized purchases were made with his debit card.
  • Retail Theft at Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road) on Oct. 25 at 5:701 p.m. – A black male stole $438.40 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Theft at Lowe’s (100 block of W. Township Line Road) on Oct. 25 at 11:18 p.m. – A contractor reported that his paint sprayer was stolen. He was hired to paint the building and left it unattended when he went to lunch.
  • Identity Theft at the 100 block of N. Concord Avenue on Oct. 25 at 2:45 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person attempted to open multiple accounts using her identity.
  • Theft at Chateau Nursing Home (900 block of Railroad Avenue) on Oct. 26 at 3:56 p.m. – Victim’s daughter reported that her mother’s home health aide before moving to the nursing home was using her identity to access her bank account and make purchases with her credit cards.
  • Theft at Westgate Nursing Home (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on Oct. 26 at 4:11 p.m. – Victim reported $25 missing from her night stand.
  • Identity Theft at the 300 block of Davis Drive on Oct. 27 at 3:13 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person had written out a check using her identity.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 2600 block of Chestnut Avenue on Oct. 27 at 12:38 p.m. – Vehicle rear passenger window was shattered.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Joanna Road on Oct. 28 at 1:21 p.m. – Detached garage was entered - $800 worth of tools were stolen.
  • Liquor Law Violation at the 700 block of College Avenue on Oct. 28 at 2:20 a.m. – Asian male, 19, 800 block of Hannum Drive was cited for underage drinking.
  • Attempted Theft at the 1300 block of Steel Road on Oct. 29 at 7:21 a.m. – Victim observed an unknown white male attempt to gain entry into a vehicle.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of N. Belfield Avenue on Oct. 29 at 7:09 a.m. – Vehicle window was shattered.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Friendship Road on Oct. 29 at 9:02 a.m. – Vehicle rear windshield was broken out.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1300 block of Steel Road on Oct. 29 at 10:30 a.m. – Rear passenger side window was shattered.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Friendship Road on Oct. 29 at 5:15 p.m. – Vehicle rear window was shattered.
  • Burglary at The Center for Interventional Pain and Spine (900 block of Haverford Road) on Oct. 30 at 9:31 p.m. – Forced entry was gained into a cabinet and safe. Prescription pads, unknown amount of petty cash and co pays were stolen.
  • Theft at the 100 block of E. Manoa Road on Oct. 30 at 4:40 p.m. – Victim reported that seven packages totaling $1,500 in online purchases have been stolen from her front porch over the past two years.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Rockwood Drive on Oct. 30 at 6:11 p.m. – Vehicle window was shattered.

ARRESTS:

  • Black female, 27, 5600 block of Rodman Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Access device fraud, identity theft, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Location: 400 block of Hill Road. Date: Sept. 26 at 7:15 a.m. (incident occurred on Jan. 31).
  • White male, 24, 900 block of Colonial Court, Coatesville. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Wawa (unit block of E. Eagle Road). Date: Oct. 8 at 12:31 p.m.
  • White male, 33, 3000 block of Heather Road, Broomall. Charges: Robbery, retail theft, receiving stolen property and harassment. Location: Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Oct. 15 at 12:15 p.m. (incident occurred on Sept. 9).
  • Black male, 43, 800 block of N. 42nd Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Lowe’s (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Oct. 18 at 8:31 a.m.
  • White female, 52, 400 block of Lark Drive, Newark, DE. Charges: DUI. Location: 1200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 28 at 3:08 p.m.
  • White male, 54, 2100 block of Boxwood Drive, Broomall. Charges: DUI, no inspection or registration. Location: West Chester Pike and Eagle Road. Date: Oct. 31 1:15 a.m.
  • White male, 16 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Wawa (unit block of E. Eagle Road). Date: OCt. 8 at 12:31 p.m.
