Haverford Police Blotter: Vehicle Theft, Counterfeit Money, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The latest Haverford Township Police blotter is out, and we have the details here.

Police handled seven thefts, a stolen vehicle, a counterfeit $20 bill being used, and more.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued in that time.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft at the 200 block of Lee Circle on Jan. 9 at 8:52 a.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered, a bag containing headphones and house keys was stolen.
• Theft at the 200 block of Morlyn Avenue on Jan. 9 at 3:29 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $5 and diaper bag were stolen.
• Theft at the 200 block of Lee Circle on Jan. 9 at 8 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – loose change and a wallet was stolen.
• Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Jan. 9 at 8:01 p.m. – A wallet was stolen from an unsecured locker.
• Attempted Theft at the 200 block of Lee Circle on Jan. 9 at 7:12 a.m. –Vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the 100 block of Rodney Circle on Jan. 9 at 10:10 a.m. – Vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of Rodney Circle on Jan. 9 at 6:12 a.m.
• Fraud at Bank of America, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on Jan. 9 at 1:09 p.m. – The bank manager reported multiple attempts to fraudulently withdraw funds from accounts.
• Fraud at the 300 block of Olympic Avenue on Jan. 9 at 6:58 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person made an unauthorized purchase with her credit card.
• Theft at the 300 block of Steel Road on Jan. 10 at 8:24 a.m. – Vehicle was entered, a wallet containing approximately $100 was stolen.
• Counterfeiting at Behavioral Health & Anxiety Reduction, LLC, 400 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 10 at 4:46 p.m. – A client passed a counterfeit $20 bill as form of payment.
• Theft at LA fitness, 400 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 11 at 6:02 p.m. – Victim reported that his wallet was stolen from a secured locker.
• Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Friendship Road on Jan. 11 at 10:35 p.m. – Residence and vehicle was egged.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 200 block of Mill Road on Jan. 12 at 7:25 a.m. – White male, 14, was cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct. White male, 15, was cited with disorderly conduct.
• Disorderly Conduct at Barnaby’s, 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike, on Jan. 13 at 12:25 a.m. – White male, 24, 700 block of Wisteria Drive, Newtown Square was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Black male, 23, 7500 block of Duncan Road, Philadelphia was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Bicycle Theft at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on Jan. 14 at 4:31 p.m.
• Theft at the 100 block of E. Eagle Road on Jan. 14 at 2:16 p.m. – Victim reported jewelry missing from her residence.
• Fraud at the unit block of W. Mercer Avenue on Jan. 15 at 9:01 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person attempted to fraudulently cash a $1,200 check.
• Public Drunkenness at the 700 block of Buck Lane on Jan. 15 at 10:51 p.m. – White male, 48, 700 block of Buck Lane, Bryn Mawr was cited for public drunkenness.

ARRESTS:

• Black male, 31, 200 block of Sharpnack Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of marijuana. Location: 2400 block of Hollis Road. Date: Jan. 10 at 11:07 p.m.
• White male, 35, 100 block of N. Line Road, Broomall. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1900 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 14 at 2:16 a.m.
• White male, 32, Homeless. Charges: DUI, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Wawa, unit block of E. Eagle Road. Date: Jan. 14 at 5:16 p.m.
• White male, 31, 2900 block of Kensington Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Warrant. Location: Wawa (unit block of E. Eagle Road). Date: Jan. 14 at 5:16 p.m.
• White male, 23, 3400 block of Berkley Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: Unregistered vehicle, no insurance, possession of marijuana and drug Paraphernalia. Location: 1300 block of Burmont Road. Date: Jan. 15 at 4:31 p.m.
