Haverford Police Looking For Labor Day Road Rage Suspect

Police in Haverford said the driver of a White GMC Yukon got out of the vehicle and punched another driver on Labor Day.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township are investigating a simple assault case that occurred during a road rage incident on Labor Day and are asking for help identifying the suspect.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 2:45 p.m. Monday on the 1100 block of West Chester Pike in Haverford.

The assault stemmed from a traffic dispute, police said.

As a result of the dispute, a man driving a white GMC Yukon with Pennsylvania plates got out of his vehicle and approached the victim, police said.

The man then hit the victim in the face through the open driver's side window, according to police.

The suspect then got back into the GMC and drove off, heading west on West Chester Pike.

Police described the suspect as a tall black man with a thin build who was wearing a dark shirt, dark pants or sweatpants, and white sneakers.

The GMC's license plate read LLC0658. Another man was a passenger in the GMC, police said.
