Self Harm Threat Prompts Heavy Haverford Police Response

Police said there is no threat to the public despite a heavy police response on West Chester Pike.

HAVERFORD, PA — Police in Haverford Township said one person was taken into custody Wednesday in connection with a domestic aggravated assault.

Police said officers were called to the 1000 block of West Chester Pike at a bout noon for a report of a person threatening self harm with a knife.

Delco Dispatch is reporting a person was stabbed in the incident, which occurred at Psychic Boutique on West Chester Pike.

Police said the incident resulted in a heavy police presence at West Chester Pike and Manoa Road.

The suspect is in custody and the situation is under control, police said.
