They gave each place examined a crime score, which was calculated by dividing the total number of violent crimes by the town population, then multiplying that by 1,000.

Haverford Township's crime score was 0.49, putting it at No. 97 on the list of Pennsylvania's 100 safest towns.
According to ElitePersonalFinance, FBI data shows 24 violent crimes occurred in Haverford last year.
Nearby, Lower Merion Township was ranked No. 11, Radnor Township No. 20, Marple Township No. 25, and Newtown Township No. 76.
