Man Sets Fire To Delco Home, Leads Hours Long Standoff: Reports

FOLCROFT BOROUGH, PA — A man doused in gas with a cinder block around his neck was taken into custody after causing a standoff with police in Folcroft, according to reports.

Crews were called to the area of Windsor Circle and Delmar Drive around 10 p.m. Monday for a fire.

According to Action News, a man was on the roof of his own burning home with a rope and cinder block tied around his neck.

The man was threatening himself and others as he tried to set other homes on fire, according to Fox29.

He was eventually taken into custody by SWAT members at about 3 a.m. Tuesday and faces charges including arson, Action News reports.
