Man, Woman Killed After 20 Shots Fired In Delaware County: Report

Police charged a 19-year-old Philadelphia man with murder and related crimes in connection with the deaths of a man and woman in Yeadon.

YEADON, PA — A man and woman died after more than a dozen shots were fired over the weekend in a Delaware County community.

Nazir Z. Anderson, 19, of Philadelphia, has been charged with two counts of each criminal homicide, first- and third-degree murder, recklessly endangering another person, aggravated assault, and related crimes in connection with Saturday's incident.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, Yeadon Borough Police were called to Church Lane and Guenther Avenue before midnight Saturday and found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle.

Police searched nearby vehicles and in one found Anderson, who had a 9mm pistol with one round in the chamber and four more live rounds in a 17-shot magazine, the outlet reports.

Anderson was taken into custody and held without bail, court records show.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 29, according to court documents.
