Cops Firing Back May Have Killed Girl At Delco Football Game: DA
Officials said Sharon Hill Police who shot back at a gunman may have hit four civilians, including 8-year-old Fanta Bility who later died.

SHARON HILL, PA — In a stunning development, Delaware County authorities said police returning fire on a gunman may have shot and killed an 8-year-old girl at a Delaware County football game last week.
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer Thursday said it's highly probable that Sharon Hill Police officers who shot back at a gunman may have hit four people, including 8-year-old Fanta Bility, who died at CHOP from a gunshot wound to the neck. The girl's 12-year-old sister was also shot and hurt, but survived.
"Our investigation is still in its early stages and we have a lot more work to do," Stollsteimer said. "My promise to them and to the Sharon Hill community is that we will continue this investigation for as long as it takes until every question is answered and justice is done."

According to the DA's office, shots were fired on the 900 block of Coates Street Friday, with some being directed at police who were monitoring the crowd leaving the football stadium.
At least one civilian was injured in that gunfire.
The DA's office said the officers "discharged their service weapons" after the shots rang out. The DA's office did not provide details on how many rounds police fired after the shooting.
"My staff and I grieve for the Bility family, who I met with again this morning, as well as the other victims," Stollsteimer said. "The death of Fanta and the wounding of her sister and the other students are a heart-breaking tragedy for her family, her friends, and the entire Delaware County community."
