Vehicle Break-Ins Prompt Haverford Police To Issue Safety Tips

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police departments across Delaware County have been getting reports of recent vehicle break-ins, and even vehicle thefts.

With that in mind, Police in Haverford Township issued safety tips to ensure you do not become a victim of a vehicle break-in.

Below are tips offered by police to deter break-ins:

Don't leave unnecessary valuable in your vehicle

The simplest way to protect your valuables is to keep them with you.

Turn off your electronics

Your Bluetooth-enabled devices can be tracked by thieves is they are left on.

Keep anything of value out of sight

Never leave anything of value in plain sight. If a potential thief take a peek through your vehicle windows, they shouldn't be able to see anything worth stealing.

Don't forget about chargers and mounts

When you're hiding valuables, don't forget about the accessories that go with them. Phone chargers, phone mounts, GPS mounts, etc., will give thieves an idea of the valuables you could have in your car.
