Vague Social Media Threat Caused Upper Darby High School Lockdown

UPPER DARBY, PA — Upper Darby police and school district officials are looking into a social media post that led to a lockdown at Upper Darby High School.

Upper Darby Police said the school was locked down Thursday morning.

Later Thursday, police lifted the lockdown and issued a shelter in place mandate.

The Upper Darby School District said police remained on scene all day.

Police said no one was harmed and there was no active threat to the school.

Authorities are continuing to look into what police called a "vague threat" on social media that led to the situation.
