Missing Teens, Thought To Be In Montgomery County, Both Found Safe

HORSHAM, PA — Both teenagers who were missing and believed to be in the Horsham area or in Montgomery County have been found safe and reunited with their families.

Meghan Doughterty, 15, of Collegeville, was found in Philadelphia on Thursday just after midnight, according to authorities. Summer Gearhart, 14, of Monroe County, who had gone missing with Dougherty, was found safely in Philadelphia on Monday.

Dougherty's mother posted a Facebook message Thursday thanking the community for helping her search for her daughter.

"Our family is amazed with how many wonderful people are in this world," Lori McGowan-Dougherty wrote in a heartfelt note.

The pair had last been seen on Aug. 27.
