Ross provided food and drink to more than 100 guests, including Patch, who got a sneak peek into the new restaurant, expected to serve as the jewel of the borough's effort to become a destination town.
In a 15-minute speech, Ross mentioned the journey to overhaul Bernie's and his hopes to open shortly. Ross told Patch he is still awaiting his liquor license. The Borough Council approved a liquor license transfer in April.

Ross introduced his staff, wife and children, and his chefs, and mentioned his vendors.
The spread included spring egg rolls, wings, vegetables and dip, Buffalo Chicken nuggets, and other items at the private event, held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday.
Ross has 45 years in the restaurant business, including 19 years with TGIF.
Ross took over the GypsyBlu Amber location in June 2020 during the pandemic and has the business thriving, winning numerous Best of Montgomery County restaurant awards.
Ross signed a lease for the building in mid-November and immediately began making changes. He hoped to open just after the new year but there was more work to do than originally anticipated, besides getting the liquor license.
Bernie's closure came just after a raid by state authorities last year for a liquor license violation.
