AG Shapiro To Address Opioid Crisis At Montgomery Twp. Event

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro will speak about the opioid crisis at an upcoming event in Montgomery Township.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro will speak about the opioid crisis at an upcoming event in Montgomery Township.

The Drug Addiction Resource Alliance will host the forum on Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m. in the Montgomery Township Municipal Building.

In addition to Shapiro, who is a former Montgomery County Commissioner, speakers include Rob Reed, Executive Deputy Attorney General, Gary Hendler, host of the “Clean and Sober” Radio Program, and retired Lt. Ray Wilson, who lost his son to a drug overdose.

Free narcan training will also be provided during the event.

The Drug Addiction Resource Alliance (D.A.R.A.) was organized by local district judge Andrea Duffy in response to the increasing number of opioid overdoses and deaths in the county and surrounding region.
