Another Fatal Accident In Montgomery Township Tuesday

It was the second fatal crash in the township in as many days.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Another fatal accident occurred in Montgomery Township on Tuesday evening, marking the second such incident in as many days.

The crash occurred at around 5:01 p.m. on Route 202, just north of Welsh Road, according to township officials.

A 2004 Yamaha motorcycle was heading down 202 when it crashed into a 1994 Dodge pickup truck in the south bound lanes, authorities said. That resulted in the Dodge spinning into the northbound lanes and crashing head on into an 2011 Acura MDX.

The driver of the motorcycle, who has only been identified as a 23-year-old man, was killed at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the accident.

About 36 hours earlier, on Monday, a pedestrian was struck and killed near the intersection of Horsham and North Wales roads, police said. And in a separate incident which occurred at almost the same time, a pedestrian was also struck and killed in Hatfield.
