Bomb Squad, Police Respond To Hatfield Wawa Thursday Night

HATFIELD, PA — A local Wawa was shut down on Thursday night after a suspicious package was discovered, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. at the store on 119 Bethlehem Pike in Hatfield.

The Wawa was evacuated, and 6ABC reports that police used a robot to remove the package.

It's not yet clear exactly what the package was, or how serious of a threat it posed.
