Vote For You In 2012
Voting season is upon us, an it's time to look at who is ultimately responsible for your prosperity....
It's that time of year where we are bombarded with television ads from presidential candidates bashing each other and proclaiming that their ideas, promises and plan is the one that will change your life and help you reach your hopes and dreams. In reality, your future, your success, is based on you. In today's America people are lazy. Not all people, but most. Nobody wants to take personal responsibility for their actions. We have become a nation of instant gratification, credit card debt and finger pointing.
This election I will not be voting for someone to take care of my family. I will cast my vote for me. I decided that looking to a president for "hope" is useless. In the grand scheme of things, whoever is elected president will not be responsible for putting clothes on my kids back, food in their bellies and a roof over their heads. That responsibility falls on me. 2 1/2 years ago I took a step of faith. Instead of pissing and moaning about big corporations getting massive tax breaks and the huge bonuses CEO's receive, I started my own business. Complaining is not empowering. Now I am CEO, and instead of crying about a companies tax breaks, I now can enjoy my own. The great thing is, you can do exactly what I have done. I took personal responsibility and created a business. I didn't have thousands of dollars in start up money, I scraped together $40 and did it myself.
The sad thing is, what I have done is available to everyone. What's even sadder is, people are too busy making excuses to make a life. They drudge along pouting about how the president sucks, gas is so expensive, this is too costly, I don't have the time, blah, blah, blah. We blame others for our situation in life, we spend too much time in front of the boob tube and not enough time sacrificing now for our own prosperity later. Wake up people, get off the couch and do something to better your situation. You can do it, you just choose not to. You are the architect of your life. Most people spend more time planning their vacation then planning their life.
I spent 2 1/2 years working 80-90 hours a week to achieve my goals. I had to make tremendous sacrifices of time. Time with my wife, my children and with my friends. Now I work for me, spend under 30 hours a week working, and enjoy life more and more everyday. I am responsible for my happiness, not a president, senator or governor. Here's a news flash. Things are only going to get more expensive. Gas, groceries, utilities all of it will keep costing you more day after day, year after year. The question is what are YOU going to do about it? Vote for a candidate who will make grand promises? Or vote for you and do it yourself. Freedom is not free. Personal freedom especially. This November I will vote, but not for either candidate, I will write in a vote for me. Because ultimately it's up to you to create a life of joy and prosperity.
