Cannon Ave Shut Down in Lansdale for 3 Weeks
Cannon Avenue has been shut down in Lansdale for three weeks, the borough announced Monday.

LANSDALE, PA -- Cannon Avenue was shut down in Lansdale on Monday as a water main replacement project begins, the borough announced. The closure, which will be in place between Mill and West Fifth Streets, will last for about three weeks.
Crews will shut the road down from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. every week day during that time.
The North Penn Water Authority is replacing 1,200 feet of aged 4-inch and 6-inch cast iron pipe with new 8-inch ductile iron water main, according to officials

The new water main will enhance service to customers and significantly improve fire protection in the area, the borough said.
Motorists should consider alternate routes to avoid the area.

This project is part of the Authority’s $4,000,000 earmarked specifically for water main improvements in 2017.
