Cowpath Road Bridge Over Perkiomen Creek Reopened
The bridge between Salford and Franconia townships, which carries more than 500 vehicles per day, reopened on Monday.

SALFORD, PA — The bridge over Perkiomen Creek which connects Salford and Franconia townships reopened on Monday, PennDOT announced.
The bridge, which carries more than 500 vehicles per day, had been closed for more than a month so that crews could rehabilitate its structure.
Specifically, crews repaired the existing concrete deck using hydro demolition; applied a latex modified concrete overlay, resealed existing deck joints, installed a new expansion joint at the pier, and repaired the concrete substructure, according to officials.
