Inglewood Principal Earns New Job With Wissahickon School District

Congratulations to Principal Orlando Taylor!

AMBLER, PA — The Wissahickon School District has named a new principal for Stony Creek Elementary School.

Orlando Taylor, PhD., will be taking over the reigns. He is replacing Kevin McAneny, PhD., who has served the profession for 42 years.

Taylor has most recently served as the principal at Inglewood Elementary at North Penn, where he has been for seven years. He has 17 years of experience as a principal at elementary schools, across three different districts.

“We are absolutely thrilled to find somebody of Orlando’s caliber to take the helm at Stony Creek," said James Crisfield, PhD., Superintendent at Wissahickon. "Stony Creek is getting a proven building leader. His leadership style is a perfect fit for our district, and I was especially struck by his appreciation for Stony Creek’s success over the years while at the same time insisting on never getting complacent—that message will resonate with the Stony Creek community and staff. Just as importantly, he is approachable, humble and student-oriented, and knows what a school district like Wissahickon expects of its schools.”

Taylor served for four years as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, as well, and holds a B.A. in music education from West Chester, a masters in education from Penn State, and a doctorate in education from the University of Pennsylvania.
