Lansdale Declares Snow Alert
Here's what you should know about the upcoming winter storm and how it may impact Lansdale, including parking, snow removal, and more.

LANSDALE, PA — Another huge winter storm is coming through the region, and Lansdale is getting its residents prepared. A snow alert has been declared in the borough, effective Tuesday night at 6 p.m. until further notice.
A snow alert has several implications. Vehicles cannot park on any street where signage indicates "no parking during a snow alert" to allow for plowing. No parking is permitted on many side streets throughout the borough as well.
Residents are asked to be neighborly and check on any elderly neighbors. If you see any downed wires, stay away and call Lansdale Electric at 215-361-8372 with the location.

Officials also wanted to remind residents that it is illegal to deposit snow removed from sidewalks into the street.
Regarding snow shoveling, here are a few points to keep in mind as you grab those shovels. According to the township code:

* The owners, agents-in-charge, tenants or occupiers of all properties in the Borough of Lansdale shall clear or cause to be cleared a pathway on the sidewalk on their respective properties in the event of snow. Such pathways shall not be less than 30 inches in width and shall be thoroughly cleared of snow and ice or covered with salt, sawdust or similar materials.
