Lansdale, Hatfield Get $780K In State Funding for Development, Road Improvement
Several projects in the Lansdale area will receive a total of $780,000 to boost economic development.

Governor Wolf has announced a series of investments to support statewide economic development and infrastructure efforts, and several projects in the local area will be impacted.
The projects are funded through the state's Commonwealth Financing Authority, which approved 418 projects totaling $152,414,748 of support on July 1.
“The projects approved today through the Commonwealth Financing Authority are critical to the economic vitality of the state,” Governor Wolf said in a statement. “These impactful investments will support significant community and economic improvements and spark revitalization in Pennsylvania’s communities.”

Montgomeryville is getting $250,000 for an accessible playground and spray park.
Hatfield, meanwhile, is getting $280,000 for intersection improvements at Cowpath Road and Orvilla Road.

The Redevelopment Authority of Montgomery County will receive $200,000 for the former Lansdale Finisher's site. Several commercial uses are currently being explored for the site, and the money will help 111 South Broad Street Partners execute an environmental study, predevelopment planning, and initial demolition and utility improvements.
