Local officials are issuing reminders to residents on ordinances and protocols for major winter storms.

LANSDALE, PA — Lansdale officials are warning residents about snow ordinances and basic safety precautions ahead of the major incoming winter storm.

Sidewalks must be cleared from in front of residential areas within 24 hours after snow stops falling.

"We would also like to remind residents and business owners that it is illegal to deposit snow removed from sidewalks or private property onto any Borough street," the borough added, noting the municipal ordinance that prohibits "the throwing or blowing of snow into the streets from sidewalk or properties."
