Lansdale Pool Closed As Employee Tests Positive For Coronavirus
It's the second employee of a Lansdale borough pool to test positive for the virus in recent weeks.
LANSDALE, PA — Another employee of a Lansdale borough pool has tested positive for coronavirus, leading the borough to close White's Road Pool on Friday, where the individual worked.
It's the second employee of a Lansdale borough pool to test positive for the virus in recent weeks, after a case was confirmed last weekend in an employee at the Fourth Street Pool.
White's Road Pool will undergo a thorough sanitation while it is shut down on Friday, the borough said. Fourth Street Pool remains open. At this point, there are no plans to have White's Road closed beyond Friday.

"This report reminds us that COVID-19 remains in our community and why following safety protocols is so important," the borough said in a statement. "Please continue to wear masks where required and to mind social distancing markings while at both borough pool facilities."
Lansdale has seen 255 cases of the virus and 31 deaths in the borough as of Friday afternoon.

Coronavirus cases have slightly increased in Montgomery County in recent weeks, but officials say that the most important metrics, including a 3.54 positivity rate on all tests, are good.
The capacity of both White's Road Pool and the Fourth Street Pool has been set at 400 since they reopened. Other safety measures are in place, including a mask mandate for all guests who are not in the pool or sitting down with members of their household. Guests are also told to keep six feet away from other guests at all times.
