Employee At Lansdale Pool Tests Positive For Coronavirus

The Fourth Street Pool underwent a "thorough sanitation" over the weekend, officials said.

LANSDALE, PA — An employee at Lansdale's Fourth Street Pool tested positive for coronavirus, the borough announced over the weekend.

The employee was last at the pool on July 13, officials said. It's not known when the individual first contracted the virus.

The pool opened late Saturday as crews gave the facility a "thorough sanitation" in addition to its regular cleaning, according to the borough. The facility is typically cleaned every two hours.

The borough urged residents and pool-goers to continue to exercise caution and to follow safety protocols.

"This report reminds us that COVID-19 remains in our community and why following safety protocols is so important," the borough said in a statement. "Please continue to wear masks where required and to mind social distancing markings when at both borough pool facilities."
