Maidens Fall Short of Title, Ready for States

Third time not the charm for North Penn Girls' Basketball

VILLANOVA - Even though the Maidens had ended the Spring-Ford season in back-to-back years, the streak stopped Friday night as The Rams won their school record 23rd game in a row by a count of 46-33.

The victory allowed them to claim the PIAA Class AAAA Girls' Basketball District One Championship for the first time in school history, as Spring-Ford was fueled by a 7-2 run to give the number three seed some breathing room.
