Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch Bulldogs Fall to Hatfield
The Bulldogs endured their second loss of the season Monday night, despite putting forth a valiant effort.
Amidst a hazy sunset and a field that looked more like the grounds of a monster truck show, the Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch Bulldogs went on the road to Hatfield in search of their first win of the season.
Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, that search will continue, as they lost to the Hatfield squad in interleague play Monday night.
With coach Eric Geiger away on vacation, assistant coach Scott Williams stepped up to assume the dugout duties.

At one point during the bottom of the fourth inning, Williams noticed a Hatfield player was taking a large lead off of first base. He voiced a subtle call-out to his catcher, Ryan Bryson, who made a heads up play shortly thereafter, throwing out the runner at first, thanks to a nice tag by Bulldogs first baseman Ryan Macy.
There were other positives to take away from the game, such as a base-clearing triple by Kyle Champagne, and solid pitching from Shane Williams and Andrew Alexander.

The loss drops the Bulldogs to 0-2 on the season, as they again look for their first win this Friday at their home park on Moyer Road.
