North Penn Elementary Holds 'Helping Hands Day'
The event helps North Penn elementary students gain an understanding of the importance of giving back to their community, the district said.

LANSDALE, PA -- Students at Inglewood Elementary School held their annual “Helping Hands Day” on Wednesday in the school gym.
This school-wide program is run each year by the Inglewood Home and School Association, staff and parent volunteers, North Penn said.
Families are encourage to donate items to this charitable cause from January 9th to January 18th to help students gain an understanding of the importance of giving back to their community, according to the district.

Students in each grade will have an opportunity to package items, craft cards, sign banners and assemble and decorate care packages for local nonprofit organizations including Manna on Main Street, Stray Cat Blues, Home at Last Dog Rescue, Schwenckfeld Manor, the Lansdale Boys and Girls Club and the Towamencin Police and Fire Stations, the school said.
