North Penn Elementary School To Hold 'Internet Safety Night'

How much time do your kids spend on technology and what effect does that have on them?

LANSDALE, PA -- Parents of students in grades four through six at General Nash Elementary School are invited to a Social Media and Internet Safety Night on Tuesday, January 17 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the school's gym.

"Did your family receive new tech gadgets over the holidays, perhaps a smartphone, tablet or a new gaming system?" the flyer for the event reads. "Do you know what forms of social media your children are using? How much time do your kids spend on technology and what effect does that have on them?"

As social media becomes more present in our lives, it is more important than ever for families to understand the consequences of our social media and internet decisions, the school said.
