North Penn To Host Model Aviation 'Fun Fly' Event

The North Penn community event is a great way to introduce kids to model aircraft.

LANSDALE, PA -- The North Penn High School Model Aviation Club will host their annual community Fun Fly event on Saturday, March 18 in the gymnasium at the high school.

The North Penn community event, open to the public, is a great way to introduce kids to model aircraft.

Participants are required to bring their own aircraft to fly at this event, no aircrafts will be provided. Planes, helis and smaller quadrotors are welcome, the district said.

For participants over 18 years of age, Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) cards are highly recommended, according to North Penn.

A $10 donation will allow adults to fly their devices all day, while children can fly them for free.

Spectators can make use of the flight simulators on hand for no charge.
