North Penn HS Team Wins National Economics Challenge In NYC
BREAKING: The North Penn HS team has won the National Economics Challenge final round in New York City.

LANSDALE, PA — The North Penn HS team has won the National Economics Challenge final round in New York City, a spokesperson for the school district confirmed on Monday afternoon.
The team of Clare Dentner, Reid Dentner, Ben DiCristo, and Stephanie Zhang bested Hunter College High School, based in New York, to take home the championship trophy from the most competitive high school economics contest in the nation.
North Penn won the David Ricardo Division. Two other schools, Georgia's Chattahoochee High School, and Minnesota's Mounds View High School, competed for the Adam Smith Division title.

NEC is recognized as one of the most prestigious economics competitions in the country, with more than 10,500 students from 41 states participating.
As winners, North Penn will receive $1,000, in addition to other prizes.
