According to the American Heart Association, Hands-Only CPR can save lives. Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public location die because they don't receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene, which can double or even triple a person's chances of survival.
The first day of the program on Tuesday, November 29th will serve as an informational day for students to learn about the instructional basics of Hands-Only CPR along with why it’s used, when to use it and other statistical information. On Wednesday, November 30th students will reconvene with their health classes in the auditorium to practice this new technique on mannequins, the school district said.
