North Penn Says Farewell To 73 Retirees As School Year Closes
North Penn is honoring 73 employees who are retiring as the 2016-2017 school year draws to a close.
LANSDALE, PA — North Penn is honoring 73 employees who are retiring as the 2016-2017 school year draws to a close.
The employees were recently honored at a reception at PineCrest Country Club, where school officials gathered to recognize and give thanks to the teachers, administrators, and staff who have worked for the district for years.
In a statement, the district specifically highlighted Jim Allebach, a North Penn bus driver who has been driving with the district every school year since the district was created in 1966.

"After 51 years in the NPSD, Jim has decided to step down from his role as North Penn students’ favorite bus driver. If anyone can say they’ve seen it all, it would certainly be Jim," the district said in a statement.
