North Penn Students Advance To National Economics Challenge Final

Congratulations, students!

LANSDALE, PA — North Penn High School students advanced in the National Economics Challenge recently, placing among the top four in the nation. They will continue on to the final round in New York City later this month.

The team of students Clare Dentner, Reid Dentner, Ben DiCristo, and Stephanie Zhang placed in the top four in the nation in the David Ricardo Division of the semi-final round of the National Economics Challenge (NEC), the school district said.

NEC is recognized as one of the most prestigious economics competitions in the country, with more than 10,500 students from 41 states participating.

North Penn will compete for top awards and honors totaling more than $40,000 during an expenses-paid trip to New York City later this month.

In addition, Stephanie Zhang was selected as one of two Americans who will travel to Germany to participate in this summer's National Economy Camp.
