According to information provided by police around the time of the crash, Adee's Nissan Xterra was headed south on Route 202 when it traveled across both lanes, hitting the couple's Volvo station wagon head-on and killing them as they headed north.

The McNeills were pronounced dead at the scene by the Bucks County Coroner’s Office. The accident happened about one mile south of Route 32. Adee was extricated from his car and transported to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment immediately following the crash.

Adee initially was facing DUI-related charges in connection with the crash but they were dropped in June. Authorities were unable to obtain a blood sample due to the extent of his injuries.
