LANSDALE, PA — A new study has ranked the safest school districts across the state, and the results are mixed for local schools.
The rankings come from Niche.com, an organization which utilizes public information and reviews to produce school rankings in a wide variety of categories.
Specifically, the 2017 "safest districts" measure looked at student and parent ratings of health and safety, crime in the area, school rates of expulsion and suspension, and arrests which took place at the school.

North Penn was named 52nd safest overall in the state. 100 districts were included on the list. There are roughly 500 districts in Pennsylvania.
The safest district in both Pennsylvania and the United States, according to the list, is nearby Radnor Township School District.
