Male charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly striking two women.

Man charged with simple assault, harassment
A Harleysville man has been arrested and charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, after Towamencin Township police responded to a reported disturbance on the 500-block of Monroe Drive on March 15th.
According to the press release, police allege that Jahed Sarwardi, 35, struck two women in the face, pulled their hair, and kicked them during a physical altercation that occurred prior to the responding officers' arrival.

When police arrived, they found the trio engaged in a verbal argument outside of the residence, and both women showed signs of physical injury, the release states.
Sarwardi was arraigned by District Judge Borek, and was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.

Thefts from vehicles
Two GPS units were stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked overnight from March 14th to March 15th at the Towamencin Condominiums. One vehicle was parked on the 500-block of Heritage Drive and the other was parked along the 400-block of Bunker Hill Road.
The reported value of each GPS unit is $150.
The Towamencin Police Deparment cautions that residents should keep their vehicle doors locked at all times and remove any items of value upon exiting the vehicle.
