As Speeding Proliferates, Lansdale To Investigate 'Traffic Calming'

Officials pointed to increased speeding and cut-through traffic on residential streets around the borough.

LANSDALE, PA — Authorities in Lansdale are embarking on a "traffic calming" study amid a recent rise in speeding cut-through traffic on residential streets around the borough.

The study will examine a specific area of Lansdale, and contractors will then make a recommendation to the borough on what measures, if any, are needed to prevent future issues.

"The purpose of traffic calming is to promote safety among all transportation modes while improving conditions for our residents and visitors," the borough said in a statement announcing the study.
