Assassination Threat Against Bucks Co. Judge 'Not Credible': Police

Bristol Township Police said they have a person of interest in the threat against Magisterial District Judge Kevin P. Wagner.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —Bristol Township Police say they have a person of interest in the assassination threat made against Magisterial District Judge Michael Wagner last week, which also included a bomb threat.

"It's the same source," Bristol Lt. C.J. Winik told Patch. "It's not a credible source in any way."

On Thursday, police Wagner received the assassination threat, just days after his court was evacuated Tuesday due to a bomb threat. Court was closed Friday as a precaution, but was open once again on Monday.

Winik said that a woman has made "over 1,000 anonymous calls" targeting the court and sending tips to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Crimewatch and other sources about "people being shot and sex trafficking."

In the threat to the court, the woman reported that a man was headed to the court with a gun, police said.

The bomb threat took place Tuesday and the court was evacuated for several hours.

"We expect to make an arrest through our investigation," Winik said.

While Winik said the threat isn't credible, police said they are prepared.

"Our concern about the calls is someone else taking out an attack," he said. "We're still being vigilant. We're responding to calls. The source has caused fear among court personnel."

Winik said the caller is someone "totally different" than the township woman who was charged more than a month ago with making more than 1,000 calls to dispatchers in Bucks County and throughout the country.

Erica Lynn Saresky, 27, who lives in Bristol Township’s Levittown section, has been charged via summons with communications with 911, harassment, and disorderly conduct. She was expected to face a preliminary hearing Tuesday.

Bristol Township detectives found on Saresky's cell phone that she made more than 800 calls in a span between December and January, including 169 calls to the Bucks County Department of Emergency Communications alone on Jan. 2, court records indicate.
