Authorities said that Michael Mohn was shot in the head before he was beheaded. Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said that Justin Mohn had purchased a gun the day before the crime Tuesday at a Croydon gun shop. She said the gun was purchased legally.

Mohn posted a 14-minute YouTube video in which he ranted about the federal government and showed the decapitated head of his father, 68, an employee with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and Middletown Township Police Department are investigating the case.
