PECO Scam Targeting Middletown Residents: Police
Middletown Police join Falls and Radnor township police in warning of phone scams.

Another police department is reporting scam PECO calls that threaten victims with power shut offs.
Middletown Township Police said they received "numerous" reports of residents getting calls from people posing as PECO representatives.
Police said the victims were threatened with power shut off if they didn't pay debts to PECO.

Police said the victims were told to go and purchase gift cards to satisfy their debt and PECO will not tell customer to buy gift cards to pay bills.
Police said if you receive a call such as this to just hang up.

Falls Township Police reported a PECO call scam earlier today and Radnor Township Police reported scam calls on Monday.
