Montco Man Fined $100 After He Tries To Sell Roadkill For $33

"Well sure I want to sell it. I don't care if the government says it is illegal. I want the money."

A New Hanover man has been fined for attempting to sell the head off a dead deer he found on the roadside for $33, according to a report by The Intelligencer.

James E. Crawford, 61, did not have a permit, which is required in Pennsylvania to take possession of body parts of game, even if it’s roadkill, the report states.

A state game commission officer spotted an eBay listing for the deer’s head in Montgomery County in November 2014, the report states, and an undercover operation to bust Crawford was set up.
