SPRING CITY, PA – On Tuesday, March 21st, Renaissance Academy senior Jeremy Baron earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The designation "Eagle Scout" was founded over one hundred years ago. This is a remarkable accomplishment as only 4% of all Boy Scouts and 1% of African-American Boy Scouts are granted this rank after a lengthy review process.
Among the other requirements completed to earn this rank, Jeremy volunteered at the Phoenixville Good Samaritan shelter, helping with facility improvements by painting rooms and cleaning out their basement.

“I feel a great sense of pride to be part of the group of Eagle Scouts who have come before me," Baron said. "It always means a lot to me to help and support the community around me, something I plan to continue to do for the rest of my life.”
Jeremy Baron resides with his parents, Gerald and Lorraine Baron, in Spring City, PA. After graduation, Jeremy, an honor student at Renaissance Academy, will attend Yale University, where he will study economics. He plans to become a financial analyst and work with either a non-profit organization or a larger American corporation.
