Barricading Incident Was a Hoax
There was no threat in the Nov. 22 event that led to road closures in Lower Moreland, police said.

A barricading incident in Lower Moreland last week, which led to road closures on County Line Road between Buck and Pine roads, has been determined to be a hoax.
The incident occurred at 8:39 a.m. Nov. 22 when police received a 911 call about a suicidal person with an assault rifle, Montgomery News reported.
In fact, "Nobody was threatening to commit suicide, and nobody was in possession of an assault rifle,” Lower Moreland Lt. Kevin Dillon told Montgomery News.
The incident was actually a dispute between a father and his 42-year-old son. The son was taken into custody and later transferred to a health facility, Montgomery News said.
No one was charged.
