Lecture with Dr. Natalie Isser on Saturday, May 31 at 2:00 pm in the
Community Room on the 2nd floor. Program is sponsored by The Friends of
Huntingdon Valley Library. The Golden Land of eternal hope and despair.
This is a description of both the difficulties and the aspirations of
those who choose to leave their homelands. Immigration has always been a
contentious issue in the United States since its earliest days. A
cursory examination of past debates provides a context to help us
understand the contemporary disagreements over this enduring issue.
