Photos: Lower Moreland Hit by Strong Storms

Late Sunday afternoon, strong storms brought rain, wind, hail, and lightning to the area - knocking out power to some and flooding thoroughfares.

Sunday morning the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch that remains in effect until late this evening.

The heavy rain and winds brought down a tree on Fettersmill Road that blocked the road and started a small electrical fire, knocking out power to some homes, according to authorities and nearby residents.

Flood was also reported along Welsh Road in the township.
