The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. Three people were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries after a three-car wreck on County Line Road near the Lower Moreland and Lower Southampton border Monday afternoon. One person had to be extricated by firefighters from the Bryn Athyn, Huntingdon Valley and companies shortly after 1 p.m., police at the scene said. Two of the vehicles, both with heavy damage, came to rest on the curb of County Line Road at the corner of Buxmont Road. The third car sat in the middle of Buxmont Road with damage to the front and back. The accident remains under investigation by .
